Default Flavor of the Month?

I've asked all around in-game, but noone seems to know. That, or they're all ignoring me. Could anyone tell me what the Flavor of the Month is?

"Zergway" 3 Steady stance warriors and 3 defensive paragons, they spam chorus of restoration and ballad of restoration etc and are very heavily armoured and hard to kill thanks to angelic bond and various other para skills. They pack purge signets and healing seed and stuff on the warriors and paras.

Necro soulreaping abuse hex builds, they have infinate energy thanks to someone sac'ing at the start and then getting animate bone minions -> jagged bones -> taste of death -> jagged bones etc. They have all sorts of nasty stuff like reaper's mark, spoil victor and scourge healing+enchantment

Grenth dervishes with banishing strike to hurt the above

um, think thats it

(edit, yeh thats for HA)

Depends on area IMO.

HA: Spirit- and Zergway.

GvG: Eurospike, which(IIRC) is multiple mesmers spiking with spiritual pain.

I don't think there are other? - I don't play TA though.

Zergway? Never heard of it. It would be nice if GuildWiki had a FotM section.

like, what the phrase actually means?

http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Flavor_of_the_Month

Popular GvG builds at the moment include eurospike, eurosplit, and Grenthtrain. Searing Flames-way is up there too.

HA is zergway, sandstorm balls, and jagged bones, from what I understand.

there's enough of that jagged Spirit Necro crap in gvg too. Plenty of HA guilds thought it would be a good idea to run it in gvg and a fair amount of them have won pretty much every match they've played using it. so broken but that's really up to anet.

It's deeper than that, most teams don't even bring builds that can proactively split well enough to overcome two guys in a boat.

It's not exactly the easiest thing to split against really. Maybe for you JR, but quite frankly it allows a bunch of not-so-good-players to ladder climb. let's face it. forgot the ghostly aren't on 40 or so wins and barely any losses because they are good now are they, they just run a build that is going to roll over 98% of the guilds out there? The necro build itself splits pretty reasonably, isn't there something like 2 healing hands and a weapon of remedy somewhere in the build? on characters that carry plenty of offensive shutdown too. I'll be honest I haven't looked at it in detail. I probably should. :\. But it's nearlly update time so lacks the point now.

And the build even when it has split still has quite a lot of flagstand pressure. And I've seen a fair few solid guilds such as eF (running eurosplit) lose nastily to it too. From what I found out facing it is, you have to split pretty heavily against it to get anywhere as far as npcs in their base are concerned, they have like 6 secondary monks so holding off small teams in their lord area won't be too hard. and while this is happening the flag stand team is largely outnumbered and has struggled to stay alive. Any pointers to beathing this build would be rather appreciated though.

In GvG, Europe has euro-split, which is a 3/5 split of YAA warrior, broadhead arrow, Rit/e weapon of remedy on gank and 2 melandru's, 2 monks and 1 mesmer on flag. Also there's eurospike, which is 2 warriors, 2 mesmers 1 something I actually managed to forget, 2 monks and 1 mo/e runner. No idea what america actually runs.

America = SF/Dervway. 2x D/x (Either two grenths or one grenths one melandrus) 2x E/Mo SF P/x 3x Mo/E (One runner obv.)

In GvG I would say Dervish pressure builds and bsurge spammers are the FoTM. Usually a Melandru and a Grenth, a third melee, and some sort of bsurge. Pink is a good example of a guild that consistently has been running this style of build. Cow runs it a lot too, but swaps up to a few other things from time to time.

Yep, we run a Grenth and 2 Melandrus, but don't run BSurge (and IIRC we haven't run it all season).

What, no SoMW as a flavor? I thought that was really popular (and cheap).
